Good exercises for swimmers & beginners are easy to come by if you want to step it up.
Hearing a number of ex beginner swimmers that have now become very comfortable with the water say that they want to step it up and get a light workout in their swim.
Exercises for swimmers at home can be found all over the internet of course, but I would like to bullet point a few different things that I personally use in my daily swim workouts.
These tips and techniques are from my personal workouts that I choose to do.
I recommend for these swim workouts you are able to swim the length of a 25 meter pool by yourself.
If you are unable swim that far but would like to give them a try SWIM ONLY IN A SHALLOW POOL.
- Kickboard Freestyle kicks both hands on board X2 Laps (Kickboard needed)
- Kickboard Butterfly kicks both hands on board X2 Laps (Kickboard needed)
- X2 Laps of Freestyle
- X2 Laps of Breaststroke
- Kickboard Butterfly kicks X1 Lap
- X2 Laps of Freestyle arms with Pull Buoy in between your legs (Pull Buoy needed)
- X2 Laps of Breaststroke
- Finish with a cool down X2 Laps of Freestyle
This is a very light and easy swimming workout for beginners to assist with weight loss also.
Remember you get very hungry after a good solid swim workout so eat clean after you just burnt a lot of calories off in that pool.
Now go get them & always make sure you keep it fun to then reach your swimming goals.
