Recommended days a week for swim lessons
Is there recommended days a week for swim lessons that are set in stone? Well, Naahh!
I personally recommend 2 – 3X a week for children & adults mainly in first 6 weeks for consistency & repetition. Both are key to learning how to swim as a life skill.
If you can participate in swim lessons 1X a week on a consistent bases that is much better than here & there. You or your child want to become familiar with the water on a daily bases so that you can overcome any fears of the waters motions & movements.
A lot of the time people have a window that they may need to learn to swim before an event or trip. I have had clients that were headed on vacation to Hawaii or on a cruise in a few weeks & need to learn before they leave.
This is ok to do. The Recommended days a week for swim lessons would be higher for shorter time frames also.
I recommend if you are going on a trip & need to learn how to swim, give yourself about 6 solid weeks of swimming lesson repetition.
For a solid 6 weeks recommended days a week for swim lessons would be about 3 to 4X a week to be absolutely comfortable about swimming on your vacation.
Be sure to takeĀ if you do need to learn to swim in a short period of time. You will need as much 1 on 1 time as you can get to become comfortable.
Now remember just going & participating in some form of swimming lessons will be much better than none what so ever, but you do want to stay consistent & get in some good repetition.
Be sure to keep it fun & stay safe. CHILDREN SHOULD NEVER SWIM ALONE!!!
