Curtis Knight is a swim instructor from NSW Australia, now residing in Las Vegas, Nevada.
As a young boy Curtis had access to one of the largest pools in the world. The ocean!
He participated in Surf Life Saving and competed in two Iron Man competitions which he took first place in.
In Australia swimming was not only a passion, but a life style.
Amongst many other talents that Curtis has, he began teaching swim lessons while attending college.
This became a great opportunity and gate way for 123 swimming lessons.
Curtis taught babies to adults swimming lessons starting with ages as young as 3 months old and levels ranging from beginners to swim squad.
He enjoyed watching the benefit people would earn from acquiring a lifesaving skill.
He taught in the water for over 6 years and also managed and operated a swim school for his employer at the time.
In late 2009 he moved his family back to Australia where swimming began for him.
While raising his young son he taught him how to swim.
He began filming swim tips for parents on how to assist their children with back floats, familiarity in the water, holding their breath etc.
He soon realized there was a necessity for this worldwide. Parents can teach their children how to swim and should be able to.
Curtis adopted the saying EVERY CHILD CAN SWIM – with the correct guidance, supervision and time- and applied it to his lesson plan that he wrote for parents to teach their children to swim.
He discovered in his teachings that no matter how scared, cold and including children with disabilities, that repetition in the right program is key.
The passion for teaching children how to swim has now turned into teaching the parent how to teach their child how to swim.
